The University of Tehran main entrance was designed in 1965 by Korosh Farzami, one of the students of the faculty of Fine Arts of the University and built by Arme Construction Company and ARCHEN consulting Company where Farzami was a founder and CEO there as well.[1] There is a documentary film which name is “Vafaye Engare” directed and made by Hesam Bani-Eghbal and Khashayar Hazrati Vand with the supporting of ARCHEN consulting Company, that mentioned the details about this architectural entrance and analyzing its design process.[2][3]
The gates have gradually become an icon of the University’s status in Iran’s Higher Education system.[4][5]
The gates are depicted on the reverse of the Iranian 500 rials banknote.[6]
